CAPTURING THE ALLURE OF OPEN WATER SWIMMING:
Did you ever imagine that you were looking at a blue-green coral reef when you found the rhythm of your well-practiced crawl stroke as you were enjoying the sound of tropical birds and the push of a friendly current when in fact you were merely 4 feet from the shallow bottom of the CP pool in the middle of a workout?
For those of us that are avid open water swimmers, you certainly understand the allure. For those of you wondering and afraid to try, in this open water section of the CP Newsletter, we will entice you to join us in this exciting and special open water adventure. As we go forward in this and future newsletters, we will show you how this can be accomplished.
We would like to begin our series of open water articles and tips by bringing to your attention some great open water places to swim and exhibit your hard-earned swimming skills. So, as workout yards increase with fierce paces set & established in our CP pool, try to remember that practicing your crawl stroke in pristine tropical island waters is not merely a dream, it could be a reality -- and soon.
